Assessment methods
The exam is held orally and consists of one or more questions on the program for each of the subjects of the Integrated Course. To pass the exam, the final grade will be the average of the grades obtained in the respective subjects. Questions will be based on the discussion of a clinical case and will focus on the dental management of patients with a positive medical history for organ diseases, undergoing pharmacological treatments (particularly with bisphosphonates), or with a history of head and neck radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy. The number of questions may vary depending on the level of preparation and depth of understanding demonstrated by the student in their responses.
Final grade criteria:
→ 18–19: Knowledge of a very limited number of topics covered during the course and analytical skills that emerge only with substantial support from the examiner; overall correct use of language.
→ 20–24: Knowledge of a limited number of course topics and the ability to independently analyse only purely operational issues; correct and appropriate use of language.
→ 25–29: Broad knowledge of the course topics, ability to perform independent critical analysis, and good command of discipline-specific terminology.
→ 30–30 with honors: Comprehensive and in-depth knowledge of the course content, ability to make autonomous critical evaluations and connections, full command of technical terminology, and well-developed argumentative and self-reflective abilities.
