Learning outcomes
The student will have the fundamentals for performing a critical evaluation of the main diagnostic laboratory techniques in renal pathology.
Course contents
The laboratory in nephrovascular disease.
Glomerulonephritis. Handling and preparation of renal biopsy specimens. Stains required for histological examination of renal biopsy. Histological elemental lesions. Routine antibody panel for immunofluorescence microscopy. Main immunofluorescence patterns. Ultrastructural elemental lesions.

Teaching methods
The course consists of 2 CFU (frontal teaching).
Assessment methods
The final exam consists in the oral presentation of a topic among those included in the program.
The grade will take into account the ability demonstrated by the student to present the specific issues in a concise and complete way, with some ideas for critical analysis. The weighted result, expressed in 30/30, contributes in proportion to the number of credits, the final vote of the entire integrated course.
