Learning outcomes

Providing a broad view of the major economic features of several artistic, cultural and entertainment activities in creative industries.

Course contents

The course is organised around six themes:

  • Defining creative industries (class 1)
  • Defining business models and the Business model canvas (class 2 and 3)
  • Understanding better the Costs and Revenues components of the Business model canvas (class 4)
  • Understanding better the Key resources component of the Business model canvas (class 5)
  • Measuring performance in the creative industries (class 6)
  • Organisational forms in the creative industries (class 7)

A complete list of readings will be provided in class.

Teaching methods

The course is strongly based on class discussions and active participation by students. Classes comprise a mix of lectures and in class activities. Students will be required to read selected materials before coming to class.
