Learning outcomes
The IC of Strategic Management aims to introduce students to competitive, corporate strategy and business model. The course is structured in two modules:
1) Service Business Models;
2) Innovation and web-based business models.
The module on "Innovation and web-based business models" is centered on technological and business model innovation, with a special emphasis on service innovation, mostly (but not uniquely) spurred by the diffusion of the internet.
At the end of this Module students will acquire the core concepts and analytical tools required to understand the impact of technical change on the strategic management of firms. They will also acquire the skills required to manage innovation in established organizations and exploit the market opportunities offered by the internet through the creation of new business models. Finally, students will acquire the skill set necessary for managing the organizational change spurred by the global sourcing of business services.
