Learning outcomes
At the end of the workshop the student: - is able to move independently in applying learned techniques; - is able to have a confrontation with others about how to use and document what's been learned; - is able to place the specific knowledge in different types of services; - is able to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of learned techniques; - is able to transfer learned technologies in different contexts, making personal amendments and additions.
Course contents
Title: Comunication and relational skills in education
The workshop will focus on communication and relational aspects in education through the use of active teaching methods, work in small and large group. The workshop will address the analysis of interpersonal communication skills for the expert of education.
Didactic methods will include slides, movies, interviews, role playing, games and exercises of the Theatre of the Oppressed. The aim will be to stimulate a debate on the dynamics of relationships in educational contexts. Moreover, elements of interpersonal communication will be provided, focusing also on the concepts of empathy, active listening, expectations, stereotypes and prejudices.
