Learning outcomes

The course enables students with an understanding of current issues concerning critical managerial activities: project management. The course aims to help participants to develop skills that enable it to:

- understand what is meant by project management and describe the skills required for a definition, planning and project management.

- Understand the means-ends relationship and articulating a hierarchy of objectives.

- Develop a Work breakdown structure (WBS) and identify with precision tasks and responsibilities.

- Allocate resources to individual products and conduct a cost analysis.

- Apply a streamlined approach to the definition, design and implementation of a project.

- Settle the matter of the different techniques of the critical path method (Critical Path Method - CPM) and when they should be used.

- Understand the importance of leadership and team building for the achievement of corporate objectives.

Course contents

- The Culture Project (definitions, life cycle, contexts, PM areas)

- Project Management Tools (strategies, plans, settings and tools)

- Project team (choice and team management, leadership, motivation and delegation)

- Economic Management Project (costing and project budgets, project control, project indicators)
