Course contents
The present module is intended to teach basic strategies of language mediation and the necessary competences to face professional interlinguistic and intercultural communicative situations.
During the language mediation classes students will perform in sight translation, in listening and reproducing /reformulation activities (Russian-Italian, Italian-Russian and Russian-Russian), as well as interact in role-plays to develop oral communication skills. Moreover, they will take part in simulated linguistic mediation sessions, reading, linguistic analysis and in exercises aimed at improving speaking and writing skills, memory and rephrasing skills as well as comprehension of particular aspects of Russian cultural identity (i.e. tourism, cuisine, accommodation, Russian customs and holidays as well as its culture, history, religion, economics and politics, society etc).

Teaching methods
Simulated dialogue interpreting sessions and a wide range of exercises aimed at acquiring oral mediating skills and strategies including sight translation, exercises for improving memory, rephrasing, listening comprehension and speaking skills.
Assessment methods
Written test (2 hours) on the languge skills acquired during the course. Oral exam: oral skills testing, sight translation from and into Russian on topics discussed during lessons, simulated oral mediation sessions between Russian and Italian, testing of the topics developed during Lettorato.
The final grade will be the average of marks obtained by the student in the different parts of this exam.

Written texts and multimedia tools for improving listening comprehension, conversation, rephrasing and translation.
