I have been an Associate Professor at the University of Bologna since 2014. I am involved in the development of Russian-Italian Parallel Corpus of Russian National Corpus in collaboration with the Catholic University of Milan (https://ruscorpora.ru/page/corpora-team/). Since 2009, I have been participating in the activities of the International Group for Slavic-Romance Contrastive Text Linguistics Studies (GeLiTeC), coordinated by Prof. Olga Inkova of the University of Geneva.
In recent years, I have devoted my research to Italian-Russian contrastive linguistic analysis and, in particular, to the study of textuality, applying the Basel model. I have also focused on translation theory in Russia and the USSR (https://rosa.uniroma1.it/rosa01/europa_orientalis/article/view/3061).
My studies have also focused on the impact of machine translation and artificial intelligence on translation and its teaching (e.g. https://acl-bg.org/proceedings/2024/NeTTT%202024/index.html).
Since 2007, I have been participating in the meetings of the Slavic Linguistics study group, which involves scholars of Slavic morphosyntax in Italy.
