Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has medical-clinical basic elements for classification and recognition of the type of trauma, the mechanism of injury and the basic knowledge of the diagnostic and treatment following a trauma. In particular, the student: - is able to recognize the mechanisms of biological and mechanical injuries of the musculoskeletal system - knows the basic elements to determine a diagnosis - knows the basic elements to formulate the various types of treatment in traumatology skeletal muscle. - Acquire the basics of first aid to deal with situations that may occur acutely during exercise, both in competitive and recreational. The student learns to recognize the extent and severity of the acute event, for determining the situations for which there is a need for medical intervention and provide first aid pending the help of the specialized personnel.

Fractures of the elderly: fractures of the femoral neck 4. Fractures of the elderly: wrist fractures and vertebral fractures 5. Articular fractures: fractures of the ankle 6. Articular fractures: fractures of the knee 7. Articular fractures: fractures of the foot 8. Articular fractures: fractures of the shoulder 9. Articular fractures: fractures of the elbow 10. Diaphyseal fractures: the femur, humerus and leg 11. Vertebral fractures 12. Fractures in children
