Course contents
The course will cover the following areas:
1. Historical genesis and principles of
employment law.
2. The work in the Italian Constitution. National and international
sources. Guiding principles and historical development of EU
policies.
3. Labor relations.
4. The employment relationship.
5. Trade unions law.
6. Workers' representative structures in workplaces.
7. The special procedure against employers' anti-union
behaviors.
8. Collective labour agreements typologies; in particular, the
collective agreement "di diritto comune" (regulated by common
private law) and in public administrations.
9. The evolution of collective bargaining and its structure.
10. Collective bargaining and the law. The organization of
employment relationship. The right to strike, the lock-out and
other industrial actions.
11. Administrative organization and government intervention in the
labor market.
12. The employment. Legal forms of employment.
13. Self-employment and quasi dependent workers.
14. Flexible contracts.
15. The certification of employment contracts.
16. The contract of employment and discipline.
17. Discrimination.
18. The organization of workers: duties, qualifications,
categories.
19. The obligations of the worker.
20. The powers of the employer.
21. Employment relationship's suspension and extinction.
Dismissal.
22. Norms and techniques of guarantee of employee's
rights.
