Learning outcomes
At the end of the course the student has the knowledge and ability
to understand the history of obstetrics, gynecology and the concept
of sexuality.
Course contents
History of medicine: Prehistoric medicine, the ancient Egypt,
the ancient Greece and Rome, the Middle Ages, the modern age, the
contemporary age.
History of obstetrics and gynecology.
History of the profession of Midwifery.
History of the concept of sexuality.

Assessment methods
The learning level will be assessed at the end of classes. The exam
consists in the oral discussion of a written assay on a topic
assigned by the teacher. The results will be integrated with
results obtained in the other disciplines of the course.
