37513 - Measurement and Analysis of Productivity

Academic Year 2015/2016

  • Teaching Mode: In-person learning (entirely or partially)
  • Campus: Bologna
  • Corso: First cycle degree programme (L) in STATISTICAL SCIENCES (cod. 8054)

Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student acquires the knowledge of issues related to the definition of the measurement models and statistical representation of the production and the major estimation techniques of the same. The student is, also, able to derive from these models the main statistical measures of the factor productivity. In particular, the student is able to: - estimate the main production models (linear, Cobb-Douglas, CES, etc. ..) - to address the problems associated with estimating models - identify appropriate measures of the productivity of the factors of production.
