Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student has solid theoretical basis to understand management issue. Especially the student is able to analyze a company in its fundamental functions and its relationship with the environment, in financial and investments circuits, as well in those concerning financial and economical management dynamics.

Course contents

- The firm, the core of the economic system: analysis of the role of firms in the economic system, the relationships between companies and other economic actors, the business activities and the main operations.

- The strategic orientation: the concept of strategy, analysis of the competitive environment, the analysis of internal resources and the value chain.

- The main strategic choices: the competitive advantage strategies, strategic choices of companies in the growth phase and analysis of the strategies in the life cycle of the product

- The firm’s organization: analysis of the main corporate organizational structures and business networks.
