Learning outcomes

After completing the course the student knows the historiographical debate on periodization within the transition between Antiquity and the Middle Ages. And 'able to evaluate the concept of Late Antiquity and, more generally, to apply the analytical models that have generated it . He knows specifically at least one theme and a significant problem of the period, in the political, institutional, social, economic or religious ..

Course contents

Some problems of the history of the late antiquity; especially the conflict between christianity and paganism after Constantine's conversion
