EVALUATION OF COMPUTERS PERFORMANCES

Computer  architecture. Operating logic. Microprocessor, electronic devices, interfaces and external gates. Evolution of computing systems.

 MANAGEMENT AND CONFIGURATION OF AN OPERATING SYSTEM

Basic and application software. The operating system and its components. Management of the processor, memory and file system. The GUI interface. The graphics commands and devices management. Representation of information inside the computer. Numbering systems. The programming languages ​​ . The algorithms. Translators: interpreters and compilers. Data protection and antivirus. Types of viruses.

 NETWORKS AND INTERNET

Computer networks. Types of networks: LAN, MAN, WAN. Sharing of resources inside a network. Ethernet connection and wireless. Intranet. The meta-network Internet. The Internet ServiceProvider. Web services and e-mail. HTTP and TCP/IP. Search engines. Tools of communication. Online security. The model of Enterprise 2.0 that uses social networks to interface with customers.

 DESIGN AND PRODUCTION OF PROFESSIONAL DOCUMENTS

Text processing. Inserting graphic objects. Advanced formatting. From the text to hypertext-hypermedia. Custom documents. The print merge. Models and styles. Document reviews. Presentation of documents by slides. Multimedia effects.

 DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF ACCOUNTING SCHEMAS BY SPREADSHEET

The spreadsheet. Advanced formatting. The management of mathematical, logical, statistical and financial information. Database and searching functions. Pivot tables. Simulation of economic scenarios. Reporting. Analysis of enterprises sheets.

 DESIGN AND MANAGEMENT OF DATABASES

The design of   databases. Conceptual, logical and physical schemas. Relational databases. The main objects of  databases: tables, queries, forms and reports. Design  of corporate database. Database management: data entry and searching. Exchange of data with spreadsheets.

 BIBLIOGRAPHIC  AND DOCUMENTARY  SEARCHING

Searching of information, documents and publications inside databases by the Portal of the University (www.cib.unibo.it).

 Students, with skills acquired during the course, will be able to stand even the exams of new basic ECDL.

The list of open source lecture notes and slides on all topics covered in CLEA/CLAMM courses are published in the AMS platform-Campus of the University of Bologna.
