Learning outcomes

At the and of course students know Medieval Art and Archaeology from Late Antiquity to Medieval Age (Vth/VIth- XIIIth centuries) and the History of some important Churches and ecclesiastic complexes (Topography, Architecture, Excavations and artistic Features).

Course contents

Medieval Archaeology: characteristics. Holy buildings from V/VIth-XIIIth centuries: churches and ecclesiastic complexes.

The course offers to students a up to date knowledge of Medieval Archaeology, and Excavations, History and artistic Culture of some important Churches from Late Antiquity to Medieval Age.
