Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide a knowledge of the archaeological material of the printed book and description techniques also based on modern technologies. At the end of the course the student knows the main problems of the history of printing, particularly with regard to manual (XVth-XIXth century) and is able to assess the conservation needs and descriptive of printed books as well as to determine the approximate dates of ancient editions
