Learning outcomes

The aim of the Course on Cutenaous Diseases is to give the students a basic knowledge on cuteaneos diseases, in particular on those involving the feet and the toeanails. The most common treatments will also be reviewed.  At the end of the course, the student will be able to make a differential diagnosis among the most frequent cutaneous diseases of the feet and to distinguish the deseases that only require a podological treatment from those needing a dermatological consultation.  The practical part of the course has the aim to teach the basic on-invasive techniques to treat  the nails.

Assessment methods

-oral examination: at the end of the course each student will be asked to answer to 3 or more questions on skin and nail basic scinece and diseases.

Teaching tools

Power point presentations with a video projector will be utilized. A paper print of the slides will be given to the students after each lesson.  The practical part of the course includes examination of patients with nail diseases and podological treatment.
