Learning outcomes

At the end of the course the student can appoach the equine podal in  healty animal and during the pathology. Morover the student could set a medical or surgical  therapy .

Course contents

The students   analyze and follow different equine clinical cases related with podal pathology and, under the strict supervision of the professor, they discuss and plan the diagnostic procedures and the possible medical or surgical therapy.

Teaching methods

The evaluation of the skills achieved by the student ( listed in Annex received at the beginning of the training period)  is done by in-course tests related to manual activities carried out directly by the student, discussion of clinical cases evaluated during the training period, execution of manual and clinical procedures in the presence of structured personnel

Assessment methods

The achievement of the ability  is certified by signature of structured personnel involved in daily training activities and it will integrate  the final mark of Veterinary Surgery

Teaching tools

Students will learn to recognize and to interpret the diseases of the foot through the discussion of clinical cases and evaluating of X-ray with the teacher.
