Learning outcomes

The main approaches to  human development will be  presented and discussed.Specific attention will be devoted to the relations between developmental approaches and general and social psychology alongside the history of psychology.  Some key concepts will be presented and discussed: continuity and discontinuity in human development, relationships between cultures, construction of human tools and social interation.  A presentation of techniques and specific devices for research will allow students to integrate theoretical concepts and instruments for gathering empirical data in developmental psychology

 

At the end of the courses will be able:

* to know the main theories and methodologies of research

* to know the main phases of life span and the contestual conditions for their acquisition

* to know the main techniques of research and to gather data abnout human development

Pre-requirements
Students who have already acquired the credits from Theories and techniques of general psychology will be advantaged in learning about human development

 

Course contents
