Learning outcomes
The course is focused on the condition of homeless people, with a
special attention to their relationship with Welfare System.
Course contents
The course will consist in:
- 9 meetings, about
once a month (on Saturday); during these meetings, a lessons and a
forum will be held;
- guided visits to
some structures of San Marcellino Association in Genova.
During the meetings, an introduction about homeless people
phenomenon will be presented, and some reflections about
“social
attendance” approach
and relation with homeless people
too.
Alcohol-related and psychiatric problems will also be introduced,
through an apposite thorough examination.
Moreover, some national and international cases will be presented
(Compagnons de la Nuit from Paris, San Marcellino from Genova, Fundaciòn San Martin de Porres from Madrid; Nuovo Albergo Popolare from Bergamo).
