Learning outcomes

This program aims at improving the student's ability to understand and use English grammar and vocabulary in business contexts and to develop business communication with foreign partners.

The course places special emphasis on skill work – particularly listening and speaking. Role-play activities covering different business situations will be favoured.

Course contents

The course is designed to cover key language functional areas of business interaction such as meeting, telephoning,  socializing, making arrangements, company profiles, presenting facts and figures, solving problems, advertising, product and service description. It will focus on developing the language skills most needed by business people.

Teaching methods

The four skills of listening, writing, speaking and reading will be developed. In particular, we will focus on the speaking skill through role-play exercises and conversation activities.

 All the teaching material comes from authentic and well-known companies in the fashion industry.

Assessment methods

Oral role-play exam on the subjects covered during the course.
