Learning outcomes
The course covers the main fluid-dynamics aspects related with turbomachinery design
Course contents
The course begins with the main aspects and definition of turbomachines. An overview of the considered types of turbomachines is given. Then, a description of thermo-fluid-dynamics aspects of single turbomachines is provided: axial compressors, axial turbines, radial turbomachines are examined. Finally, combustors for gas turbines are introduced.

Examination is oral or written, based on two arguments of the course. Duration is twenty minutes per theme.
