Tuition fee reduction for undergraduates with specific requirements who only have to sit the final examination

If you have been enrolled for a number of years exceeding the normal course duration plus one and you only have to sit the final examination, your tuition fees may be reduced. Check if you are eligible and apply by 9 March 2023.

Who can apply

You can apply if you meet the requirements listed below.

  • You enrolled for the academic year 2022/23 and have been enrolled for a number of years exceeding the normal course duration plus one.
    For counting purposes, start from the academic year in which you first enrolled in a university, not necessarily the University of Bologna, or in a different course to the one you are currently enrolled in.
    For example, if you are enrolled in:
    • a degree programme, you must have enrolled in a.y. 2018/19 or earlier;
    • a five-year single-cycle degree programme, you must have enrolled in a.y. 2016/17 or earlier
    • a six-year single-cycle degree programme, you must have enrolled in a.y. 2015/16 or earlier
    • a second cycle degree programme, you must have enrolled in a.y. 2019/20 or earlier.
  • You can submit an ISEE equal to or less than EUR 35,000 (the call for applications indicates how to submit the ISEE).
  • You only have to sit the final examination: by 9 March 2023, you must have acquired all the University Educational Credits, both compulsory and elective, required to obtain the qualification, with the exception of those related to the final examination and learning activities to prepare for it, if any.

What you can obtain

If you meet the requirements and apply before the deadline, you will pay the following tuition fees:

  • EUR 500 if you graduate by 30 September 2023 (or 30 November 2023 for degree courses in the health professions);
  • EUR 1,000 if you graduate by 31 December 2023.

If you do not graduate by these deadlines, you will have to pay the ordinary tuition fees for the degree programme.
