DARE SGA 1

Digital Autonomy for RISC-V in Europe (Specific Grant Agreement 1)

Abstract

The growing adoption of supercomputers and other digital innovations across sectors, from research and medicine to finance, has significantly increased reliance on specialised products for high-performance computing. However, many of these products are manufactured outside Europe, resulting in higher costs and limited accessibility for European researchers and users. The EU-funded DARE SGA 1 project aims to develop European-made products for European supercomputers in both research and industry, strengthening Europe’s digital autonomy in high-performance computing and AI. Building on the findings of previous related projects, the initiative will leverage advances in RISC-V and chiplet technologies to reduce costs and enhance product quality, thereby strengthening Europe’s leadership in high-performance computing and AI.
