SkillGameLab

Game-based activities (games and role-play) to develop your skills and enhance your employability.

What SkillGameLab is

SkillGameLab is a free experiential programme that uses games to help you develop key transferable skills as you prepare to enter the labour market.
Board games, online games, collaborative activities and role-play become opportunities to bring out your potential, recognise the skills you already have and practise new ones.

Why take part?

SkillGameLab combines experimentation, fun and personal growth. By taking part, you will be able to:

  • discover something new about yourself;
  • develop skills actively and engagingly through gameplay;
  • gain useful tools to build your professional future.

Who can participate?

The programme is open to:

  • students in the final year of a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme;
  • graduates who obtained their degree no more than 24 months prior.

How it works

Each SkillGameLab is organised in collaboration with Laborplay, lasts 16 hours and consists of four modules, each lasting 4 hours. Each module focuses on a skill area inspired by the letters of the word PLAY.

  • P – POWERED: strength, speed, decision-making skills: Module 1, 4 hours
  • L – LEADER: communication, motivation, ability to influence others: Module 2, 4 hours
  • A – ACCURATE: checking, attention, analytical skills: Module 3, 4 hours
  • Y – easY: calmness, introspection, thinking skills: Module 4, 4 hours

Upcoming SkillGameLab editions

Before taking part, you can take an online test on your gaming habits to identify the PLAY areas in which you are strongest and those you can develop further.

Places are limited and demand is high: please register only after checking that you can attend all sessions. If something comes up, remember to cancel your registration to free up your place for someone else.
