Program

Prof. Francesco Privitera is an expert on the Danube-Balkan area (in particular, Yugoslav area, Czech-Slovak area, Hungary, and Bulgaria) and Russia/Soviet Union/Russia (in particular, national policies in both Tsarist and Soviet contexts), between the 18th and 21st centuries.

He is Associate Professor of History and Institutions of Eastern Europe at the Department of Political and Social Sciences, University of Bologna, Forlì campus. 

He has been Coordinator of the MA in East European and Eurasian Studies (MIREES) from 2015 to 2021 and Director of the Institute for Central-Eastern and Balkan Europe.

He has participated in numerous international Master programs and conferences.
