Guidance interviews

The interviews can be of two types:

• career counselling takes the form of three meetings of approximately one hour each in which, by reflecting together on your interests, passions and objectives, we define the choice of your future university path;
• the informative interviews, lasting about an hour, cover the access procedures, teaching plan and services of the courses you are interested in.

The interviews are free of charge and can take place in person or online, depending on your needs.

Campus Tours

To explore the campus, you can participate in a free tour lasting from 30 minutes to an hour. During the tour, you will have the opportunity to visit laboratories, classrooms, and libraries. It's a chance to learn about traditions, interesting facts, and useful information about your new city.

Entrance exam and selection test simulations

If you want to enrol for a degree or single-cycle degree course and you have to take the CISIA Online Test (TOLC), which includes a mathematics test, you can revise your mathematics and view past sessions by registering free of charge for the AlmaMathematica pathway or for one of the dedicated webinars.

On the Cisia website you will find TOLC tests from previous years that you can practise on, MOOCs and the possibility of taking simulations.

You can also find examples of tests from previous years on the course website, also for selections other than the TOLC, to give you an idea.

Information Sessions for prospective international students

If you are a citizen of an EU or non-EU country and have decided to enrol in a First, Single or Second cycle degree programme, come and take part in the Information Sessions. During the free, online meetings, which take place throughout the year in Italian and English, we talk about:  

• Admission procedures
• Tuition fees, scholarships and subsidies
• Information on foreign degrees, visas, immigration procedures and student services
• How we will keep in touch with you (Apps, websites, newsletters...)

Find out more about specific topics, such as ER.GO tuition fee reductions, scholarships, accommodation and other financial benefits.

If you have special needs, such as a Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), you can find out about the procedures for requesting adaptations during entrance exams and the tools and support measures provided for examinations.

Guidance Tutors,  provide information and support on programmes in specific areas to those wishing to enrol on a First or Single cycle programme or to freshers. They are students, often off-campus, who will be able to provide guidance and practical information on programmes, how to access them, places, services, offices and life at the new university.

If you are attending a First- or Second-cycle degree programme at the University of Bologna, the ongoing guidance project offers the opportunity to participate in laboratories and workshops dealing with:

1. Organisation and time management
2. Study strategies and exam management

In particular, you can attend Learning Skills workshops.

If you are attending a year beyond the first in a Bachelor's or Single-Cycle Master's degree program at the University of Bologna, you can deepen your understanding of your abilities by participating in a series of interactive sessions focused on specific topics related to the university experience:

1. Time management
2. Emotion management
3. Decision-making skills
4. Exploration of personal interests and identification of future goals
5. Choice of the Master's degree

In particular, you will be able to participate in the 'Skills for the present and the future' workshops.

If you are attending an undergraduate or postgraduate single-cycle degree course but are re-evaluating your choice and would like to review your path, you can book an orientation interview.

The interviews can be of two types:

If you are in the final year of a degree programme, you can participate in specific activities or schedule an individual interview to make informed decisions about your professional future and gain confidence in facing the selection process:

While studying, you can undertake various experiences that will contribute to enriching your skills: from calls for 150 hours of activities to tutoring assignments, from civil volunteering to internships.
