KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING ABILITY:
Graduates:
- will know and understand the major methodological-educational, psychological, sociological, anthropological and historical-philosophical aspects pertaining to the field of studies of education;
- will know the general framework of the Welfare policies in Italy;
- will possess historical-philosophical knowledge on the models and experiences of cooperation;
- will know the major national and European projects in the field of cooperation and relative access opportunities.
Achieving the knowledge and understanding listed above is achieved by attending the degree programme lessons and home study provided by the course units especially in the basic and core curriculum subject areas and similar (for history), with strong emphasis on the studies of historical-pedagogic, juridical, historical, social-anthropologic and psychological areas. Assessment is accomplished mainly through oral and written exams.
ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND TO UNDERSTAND:
Graduates:
- will know how to plan, manage and evaluate innovative experiences in the field of cooperation;
- will know how to interpret group dynamics and manage groups from an educational point of view;
- will know how to build networks of cooperation between cooperation players and institutions;
- will possess the skills for activating behaviour of empowerment.
Achieving the ability to apply the knowledge and understanding listed above is achieved through lessons and critical reflections on proposed texts, study of applicable cases, conducting activities of simulation provided especially for the area of educational planning, applied social psychology and pedagogy, as well as course units connected to specific professional skills of the educated figure. Internships also contribute to develop the applicable skills expected. Assessment is mainly also through written reports on which students apply tools and methods of observation, planning and documentation. The internship is assessed through a written report accompanied by the opinion of the in-company tutor and university supervisor.
JUDGEMENT SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will know how to monitor and evaluate the quality of services implemented, by processing complex analyses and opinions and such to allow the various interlocutors to rethink their positions with respect to the outline of the operative model;
- will know how to process complex analyses based also on incomplete information, and to develop independent reflections on subjects related to specific area of further in-depth analysis.
Judgement skills are developed in particular during basic course units, research and planning activities connected to the course units of various sciences of education and social-juridical area, as well as through participation in workshops inspired to various professional organisations. The reports on the activity of internships conducted and, in particular, the activity of preparation and discussion of the final paper consisting in an individual thesis allow for the assessing of the achievement of critically founded independent professional skills.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will possess the written and oral knowledge of at least one European language in addition to Italian, with emphasis also on the vocabulary related to their studies;
- will possess a command over the main IT and computer communication tools in the specific fields of competence;
- will know how to express in written and oral form, in an effective manner and through a language suited to different interlocutors, their own conclusions pertaining to studies and analyses, explaining in a clear manner their own reasoning.
Communication skills are developed in different ways as part of the course: preparation of written reports in Italian and in a foreign language, their oral exposition, writing and discussing the thesis, and multimedia documentation of the workshop and internships activities. Assessment is accomplished through analyses of the types of performances indicated.
LEARNING SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will possess the necessary skills to embark upon further studies with a high level of independence, to be integrated in the continuously evolving labour market and become an active part of the society;
- will know how to select the tools most appropriate to the context, in relation to the cultural and organisational needs.
The learning abilities acquired are a result of the entire period of study and are assessed individually with special attention to promoting study and research of knowledge and research through the use of conventional tools and connected to new IT and communication technologies, to the individual and groups study, and to the autonomy in managing their own studies based on programmed deadlines, and to the ability to processing theoretical and methodological-operating synthesis, which take the scientific and cultural modern debates into consideration.
