April – July, 2008 Visiting Scholar at the Survey Research Center of University of the California, Berkeley.

March, 1999 Ph.D. conferred.

April, 1995 – March,1999 University of Bologna – Doctoral research in Sociology and Social Policies.

July – August, 1990 & 1997 Essex University (Great Britain) – Summer school Social Sciences Data Analysis. I attended courses in mathematics, causal model and log-linear models, the theory of regression, multilevel analysis, multidimensional scaling and logit models.

Nov, 1982 – Mar, 1989 University of Trento, Italy – Master’s Degree with First-class Honors in Sociology. Supervisor: Prof. Hans M. A. Schadee. Thesis “The validity of the models for the disaggregation of electoral data, a study with simulations”.

 

Main areas of research

The problems of measurement in time use surveys.

The behavior of the electorate and political generation.

Religious behavior, method of gathering statistical data.

The phenomenon of human migration and inequalities found on urban territory.
