- planning and developing cultural promotion activities regarding the knowledge of historical, linguistic and cultural problems of the Asian and African civilisations;

- organising, managing and coordinating services and projects within the relevant fields (cultural sectors and cooperation/interculturalism sectors);

- organising catalogues and archives of documental materials pertaining to Oriental civilisations, including phenomena of artistic and archaeological interest;

- translating, commenting on and editing texts from the chosen languages.
