Laurea (First cycle degree/Bachelor - 180 ECTS) in Legal Operator in Italian and French Law

Graduates from the Legal Operator in Italian and French Law degree programme receive both an Italian degree and a French “Licence de Droit”.
The teaching integrates traditional basic national legal skills with basic French legal skills.
Graduates will therefore possess appropriate transnational legal competencies for finding employment in all public and private sectors which interact with Italian and French legal realities. Graduates will possess specific technical terminological knowledge in the legal field which is otherwise difficult to find in the market, deriving from the study of legal systems in both languages and in both countries, with mother-tongue professors in legal subjects.
The study programme will achieve these outcomes in the following manner:
1. All students enrolled in the degree programme will spend the third year of the programme at the university with which an exchange agreement exists;
2. Course units will be delivered by professors from the partner university in French right from the start of the degree programme.
Within the framework of the exchange agreement with the partner university a study programme which allows graduates from the Legal Operator in Italian and French Law degree programme to continue their studies in order to obtain a 2nd cycle degree in Law, with a specific Italian-French study programme.
The amount of study hours reserved for students is always 50% more than the overall time laid down for each course unit according to the provisions of the degree programme regulations.

KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
Graduates:
- will have a solid cultural, historical-legal foundation for understanding the regulatory modifications which are made to legal systems;
- will have fundamental basic knowledge of Italian and French legal systems and the ability to analyse the regulations of both regulatory systems;
- will know the general legal and extrajudicial regulations of the Italian and French legal systems;
- will have specific legal linguistic skills in the Italian and French legal sector which assure the correct interpretation of technical terms.
The aforementioned knowledge and understanding are achieved by the students through participation in lectures, laboratories and seminars, as well as during self-study, in line with the contents of the activated learning activities. Supplementary, optional seminars will also be held by Italian or foreign professors to further integrate students' skills. Assessment of the achievement of the learning outcomes shall be mainly through exams at the end of the course units and optional intermediate tests which allow students to improve their understanding of the learning activity contents.

ABILITY TO APPLY KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING:
Graduates:
- will possess an appropriate legal terminological knowledge which allow them to correctly interpret the laws and regulations of both Italian and French legal systems;
- will be able to draw up contracts in line with both Italian and French law;
- will be familiar with Italian and French legal systems and will be able to understand and evaluate the common aspects or difficulties which may occur in practice.

JUDGEMENT SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will be able to autonomously understand the evolution of national, European and international legislation;
- will be able to manage transnational relations which involve both French and Italian law;
- will be able to gather and select data and information for analysis purposes and to express opinions on specific contexts;
- will be able to correctly and autonomously interpret the meaning of specific legal terms in both Italian and French legal systems.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will possess an appropriate legal terminological knowledge to work profitably in the Italian and French job market and in particular in fields which involve both legal systems;
- will possess specific terminological legal skills in both Italian and French systems which allow them to solve and avoid problems of interpretation;
- will be able to express contents, information and ideas in legal fields using appropriate forms of communication and methods suited to the relative interlocutors, in both French and Italian.

LEARNING SKILLS:
Graduates:
- will be able to apply the learning methods and tools developed in order to update and continue studies into the course contents also in professional contexts;
- will possess the basic legal knowledge required to acquire a 2nd cycle degree in Law, following the integrations required in the study programme regulations;
- will have the legal knowledge required to access 1st and 2nd level Master's degrees as laid down in the French regulations, as, at the end of the study programme they will hold a degree in Legal Operator in Italian and French Law and a “Licence de Droit”.
