Learning outcomes
Know the fundamental types of psychotherapeutic intervention. Know the application method and the effectiveness of psychotherapy.
Course contents
Definition of psychotherapy. Related practices: consultation, counseling, psychological support.
Definition of the different psychotherapeutic approaches: dynamic, cognitive behavioral, systemic, group.
Fields of application (neurotic, borderline, psychotic disorders)
Evaluation of the effectiveness of psychotherapy

The following will be provided in class: teaching material also available via username and password at Virtuale Università di Bologna, references to recommended texts.
Teaching methods
The teaching consists of frontal lessons for a total of 8 hours. The contents of the program will be presented with examples of clinical cases.
Assessment methods
Learning will be assessed through the presentation and discussion of a clinical case. The test involves group work. Eligibility is achieved if the work highlights a correct clinical and diagnostic framework of the case presented.
Teaching tools
Slides, videos, presentations of clinical cases, interactions with students will be used.
