Learning outcomes

The students will develop the ability to recognize the impact of the psychosocial context on the effectiveness of therapies and clinical outcomes, exploring the psychoneuro-biological mechanisms, communication-relational aspects, and ethical considerations related to placebo and nocebo effects.

Group exercises aimed at exploring the role of expectations on clinical outcomes

The lessons will be conducted jointly with students from the Medicine and Surgery degree program at the Forlì campus in order to promote an integrated and shared approach to healthcare professional-patient communication and relationship.
