Learning outcomes

The module addresses some issues related to teaching in multilingual educational contexts based on the theoretical principles and operational models of Language Learning and Teaching. It provides some key tools to ensure the quality of learning and teaching, in line with the principles of democratic language education.

Course contents

The module addresses several issues related to ‘Methods and languages for educational innovation’. In particular, it focuses on:

  • The principles of democratic language education declined in the context of today’s increasingly multilingual and pluricultural schools;
  • Non-native varieties of Italian and teaching solutions that facilitate non-native speakers’ disciplinary learning;
  • The management of the multilingual and pluricultural classroom, in terms of interactional modes and methodological principles.

The slides will be uploaded to Virtual once the meeting is over. Some readings are already available on the platform.

Online lecture.

Assessment methods

A minimum percentage of attendance is required. Learning will be assessed within the context of the final test needed for acquisition of the teaching qualification in the competition class of the training pathway, envisaged by Article 9 of the Prime Ministerial Decree of 4 August 2023.
