B5643 - PEDAGOGIA

Academic Year 2025/2026

  • Teaching Mode: Traditional lectures
  • Campus: Rimini
  • Corso: First cycle degree programme (L) in Exercise and Sport Sciences (cod. 8766)

Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide an understanding of the history and foundational concepts of educational experience, as well as the relationships between pedagogy and the educational sciences. Particular attention will be given to topics in general and intercultural pedagogy. Students will acquire basic pedagogical knowledge and skills that enable them to independently design and manage an educational program in the fields of motor skills and recreational sports, both within and outside the school setting, especially in heterogeneous and multicultural contexts, in collaboration with other professionals working in the same sector with different areas of expertise.

Course contents

Readings and discussions will revolve around diverse materials related to the themes of pedagogy, that is, the reflection on education and training. Education as a process of relationship—always reciprocal, always political—is at the core of the cross-cutting content that will be explored and discussed with students: their own formative autobiography, childhood and adolescence stories that recount how one grows and experiences relationships, including within the realm of sports; reflections on well-being and the relationship with oneself, others, and the environment; insightful perspectives for contemplating transformative pedagogy; and discussions on topics such as consent, the body, and dialogue in education.

Literary repertoires, including illustrated books and comics, will serve as the primary materials for reflecting on life stories, emotions, responsibility, and transformation. These will be connected with theoretical contributions, especially those concerning the pedagogy of the body. Particular attention will be given to language, as well as to the relationship between sporting gestures and political, poetic, and expressive gestures. The books will also provide useful material for suggesting the creation of bodily, somatic, and playful activities, beginning with those focused on breathing.
