Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student is familiar with the main morphosyntactic structures of the Slovak language; has knowledge of its key cultural foundations; is able to understand and produce written and spoken texts, as well as to manage communication of medium complexity (approximately corresponding to Level A2+/B1).

Teaching methods
The class combines didactic methods and uses different learning activities, in order to provide students with the communicative grammar of Slovak language and Culture and train all basic skills (reading, listening, writing, and speaking). Activities include revision and practice of grammar, reading and listening comprehension, oral and written summaries of texts, translations, syntactic and stylistic analysis of the texts etc.
Assessment methods
Students are required to:
Attend the classes and prepare regularly for the lessons.
Pass a final exam (written test and an oral exam*).
Any change of the requirements or evaluation procedures will be announced at the beginning of the semester.
* Topics for oral exam will be announced in advance.
* Students with specific learning difficulties (SpLD) or with disabilities that can affect their ability to attend courses are invited to contact the University service for students with disabilities and SLD at the earliest opportunity -- ideally before the start of the course: https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/en/for-students. The University service will suggest possible adjustments to the course work and/or exam, which must then be submitted to the course leader so they can assess their feasibility, in line with the learning objectives of the course.
