The course combines lecture-based teaching with interactive sessions.
Assessment methods
There is no exam at the end of the laboratory. The proficiency will be recognised through attendance and a short paper related to the thesis project. Examples include a reasoned abstract, a detailed table of contents structured by chapters, sub-chapters, and paragraphs, or a general bibliography. The final lesson of the course will focus on revising the paper to be presented at the subsequent examination.
Due to the special character of the workshop and the classroom logistics, no more than 25 students can attend the course (only one lesson may be missed). Therefore, who desires to attend has to e-mail the teacher (gianluca.delmonaco2@unibo.it) before the start of the workshop. Those unable to attend should contact the teacher to arrange an alternative programme.
Students with learning disorders and\or temporary or permanent disabilities: please, contact the office responsible (https://site.unibo.it/studenti-con-disabilita-e-dsa/en/for-students) as soon as possible so that they can propose acceptable adjustments. The request for adaptation must be submitted in advance (15 days before the exam date) to the lecturer, who will assess the appropriateness of the adjustments, taking into account the teaching objectives.
