Course contents
Workshop 11, LEGAL WORKSHOP - CASES OF RESTORATIVE JUSTICE, is divided into two parts: the first part consists of an introduction and presentation by the lecturer of the fundamental concepts and content of restorative justice and the tool/practice of criminal mediation, placing it within the framework of European law and national guidelines on the subject. The second part of the course involves meeting some particularly significant witnesses who work at various levels in the field of restorative justice and people who have had direct experience of it in their lives, either as victims of crime or as offenders. The aim is to understand the peculiarities of the implementation of this model of justice in practice, comparing it with the two traditional models, namely the retributive and the rehabilitative/re-educational models.
The workshop takes place in the SECOND SEMESTER.
