Learning outcomes
The course aims to provide students with adequate tools to understand and analyze the general principles of the agri-food economy understood, also, as a social science. Deepens the study of the characters of the agri-food system and developmental aspects of food demand and food consumption patterns, in particular, it will provide the student with the tools to analyze the issues related to quality. A particular focus will be devoted to the analysis of consumer's behavior. Finally, special attention will be devoted to understanding the phenomenon of food losses and waste along the agro-food chain by providing the student with a key to economic and not, of the reasons that are the basis of the phenomenon

Integrated Lessons:
With the aim of deepening the discussion on the topics covered and developing students' skills in delivering oral and written presentations, the course includes seminars.

Assessment methods
The knowledge and skills acquired through the course are assessed solely through a final exam, consisting of an oral test lasting approximately 20 minutes, focused on the course content and the indicated bibliographyIn addition to the knowledge acquired, the evaluation will consider analytical skills, clarity of expression, mastery of specific terminology, and the logical ability to connect topics. The maximum achievable score is 30 with honors. The exam is considered passed with a minimum score of 18/30.
