Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student is able to know how to sample and measure the main risk factors present in the living and working environments; exercise the knowledge acquired at a theoretical level which can then be implemented in the internship activities.

Course contents

  • Workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Administrative and Public Prosecutor's Office documents regarding occupational health and safety and related forms (Circular RER 10/2014, penalty extinction procedure (Legislative Decree 758), administrative penalties, and criminal seizures).
  • Investigative activities in workplace accident investigations. Operating procedures and investigative documentation.
  • Risk management in confined or suspected polluted work environments. Personal protective equipment. Certification regulations, characteristics, and protection requirements.
  • Occupational health and safety signage.
  • The risk of exposure to asbestos fibers for workers: documentation, safety procedures, and techniques applicable to asbestos remediation, removal, and disposal.
  • Occupational safety training and education requirements according to current legislation and State-Regional Agreements.
  • The dynamics of adult learning: presentation and analysis of the main teaching methodologies and operational tools used in andragogy.
  • The phases of the training process: needs analysis, macro- and micro-planning, evaluation and monitoring of results.
  • Training: techniques and methods for assessing and recording activities.

Teaching materials made available by the teacher on professionalising topics regarding health and safety in the places of life and work.

Teaching methods

Lectures and case presentations on the professional subjects covered.

Assessment methods

Administration of a questionnaire consisting of 33 multiple choice questions and 1 open question, on the prevention topics addressed in the educational laboratories. The exam will be passed if the student correctly answers 75% of the multiple choice questions (25) and the open question sufficiently.
