Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student will have acquired specific skills in interpreting the static behavior of large-span roofs to be constructed on the buildings of the overall project developed, including the ability to develop graphic elaborations of structural details.
Course contents
Within the Laboratory, the module's contribution aims to provide the student with knowledge in the field of overall structural conception, within a unified framework that considers the constraints and degrees of complexity of the construction process. The student will acquire adequate knowledge to optimize the integration between structures, architecture, and the technological/system requirements of museum buildings; identify structural solutions that optimize their performance and reliability. These objectives will be achieved by illustrating significant examples of museum realizations.
The course covers loads within structures. The main two-dimensional structures (slabs, plates, and large-span roofs, wall beams in concrete and masonry). The three-dimensional structures (domes and vaults for building roofs). Analysis of some case studies.

Teaching methods
Lectures and Practical Exercises in the Classroom.
Assessment methods
The verification of learning takes place through a PowerPoint presentation of the research conducted during the module's lessons.
Passing the exam will be guaranteed to students who demonstrate mastery and operational ability in relation to the key concepts presented in the course. A higher score will be awarded to students who demonstrate they have understood and are able to use all the course content, illustrating it with language proficiency, solving even complex problems, and showing good operational ability. Failure to pass the exam may be due to insufficient knowledge of key concepts, lack of mastery of technical language, and/or lack or insufficient operational ability.
