Learning outcomes
The aim of the course the student will be able to: recognize signs and symptoms of the main diseases in the cardiovascular field and to direct the patient to the most suitable exercise practice for his conditions.
The student will develop in-depth knowledge on cardiovascular adaptation to exercise both in the normal subject and in the athlete and in the patient with cardiovascular diseases. Problems relating to the risks of sporting activities in specific heart diseases and problems related to the issue of the certificate of suitability by the competent authorities will be specifically dealt with. Furthermore, specific knowledge will be acquired on the most suitable techniques for the functional evaluation of the cardiovascular system in the athlete, with particular attention to health protection.
