Learning outcomes
The Course aims to achieve an analytical knowledge of Family Law's principles and of the leading decisions in case law, with particular regard to the emerging issues and to the most debated matters in judicial practice.

- Personal relationships.
- Economic relationships.
- The dissolution of the marriage.
- The Economic consequences of the dissolution of the marriage.
- The other forms of relationships: civil partnership and cohabitation.
- Assisted reproductive Technologies.
- The adoption.

The exam can not be taken through the study of previous editions that referred to above, as some of the main topics covered by the program of the course have been affected by a significant and incisive case law.

Teaching methods
Lessons will be delivered in the second semester in Bologna.
The course will be focused on the case law study.
Students can take the final examination starting from May.
Assessment methods
The attention will be focused on the skills to give a complete and accurate picture of the topics and to read the particular cases in the light of general principles as well as on the capacity to describe the cases explained in text and discussed during the lessons.
Students are allowed to take the Civil Law examination only after having taken Private Law and Public Law.
Degree thesis
The degree thesis will be assigned by Prof. Michele Sesta after an interview.
Students will be supervised by a tutor provided by Prof. Michele Sesta.
Teaching tools
The illustration of the topics will be accompanied by the projection of graphic slides and summary tables in Power Point.
