-Formal Project Management and Processes following the PMBOK®

-Project Integration Management

-Project variables (scope, time, resources and quality) and features to assess project entity

-Project Scope management (inherent stakeholder management overview)

-Project time management (CPM and PERT models, Gantt charts and Montecarlo simulation with MS Excel®)

-Project Resources management : costs, human resources and procurement management

a) Costing: project control (Work-in-progress and Earned Value Management: performance ratios). Economic and financial analysis. Risk management (identification, assessing and more common error situations within risk management) and project crashing

b)Human resources management (Project manager tasks, leadership and its features, creation, communication and team involvement)

c) Project procurement management

-Project Quality management (main tools)

-Pros and cons of formalized Project Management

-Organizational aspects and involved roles

Warning: the course is oriented towards a modern perspective of scientific management following an interdisciplinary approach within a holistic business perspective. Skills of Accounting, Civil Law, Corporate Finance and Statistics are welcomed

Teaching methods

Front-line lessons with theoric explanations, written exercises and practice with computer by using Excel

Assessment methods

Written exam at the end of the course. Intermediate trials will be possible due in course.

All exams could be formed by combinations of numerical application problems, numerical application problems with related annexed theoretical questions, multiple choices.

Dates will be defined according with the program scheduled by the School and will be communicated by Almaesami application. Exam enrollment must be defined exclusivey by using the Almaesami application
