Learning outcomes

At the end of the course students are acquainted with the European and international institutions active in the field of social and labour law. (S)he has knowledge of the penitent legal instruments and rules and the way in which these are made effective in the domestic legal order. (S)he masters the basic concepts and material sources of European and international labour law.

Course contents

The course is divided in 2 modules. Module 1 is about the international organizations (ILO, WTO, ECHR, etc.) whose competence and activities intercept the field of labour law. Module 2 deals with the main tenets of EU labour law.

Assessment methods

Final examination is exclusively written - students are invited to answer two open-ended questions on fairly wide-ranging subject matters - and aims at verifying the student's acquaintance with the fundamental notions of international and european labour law. The exam duration is three hours.
