Born in 1987, he holds a Master’s degree in Law (first-class honours) from the University of Bologna (2011), a double PhD degree in European Law and Public law from the Universities of Bologna and Strasbourg (2015), and the Italian national scientific qualification as Associate Professor of European Union law (as of 10 May 2021).
From 9 October 2018 to 6 October 2024, he served at the Court of Justice of the European Union, first as a Legal Administrator (2018-2019) and subsequently as a Legal Secretary (2020-2024). Before then, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in EU law at the University of Bologna (2015-2018), a Visiting Researcher at the Universities of Strasbourg (2014), Maastricht (2015) and Paris II Panthéon-Assas (2018), and an Adjunct Professor of EU law in France, Italy, and China (since 2015). Earlier in his career, he worked as a Local Parliamentary Assistant to a Member of the European Parliament (2010-2014).
Since 8 October 2024, he has been a tenure-track researcher in European Union Law at the University of Bologna.
