Short Bio

Assistant Professor of EU Law at the University of Bologna. Formerly lecturer at The Hague University of Applied Sciences, postdoc at the University of Luxembourg, and visiting lecturer at the University of Verona and the European Law and Governance School (Athens). PhD in EU law and MA in International Relations (University of Bologna).

Author of a monograph of the European External Action Service (Brill, 2016). Research coordinator for the Annual Report 2017 of the European Parliament Intergroup on Freedom of Religion or Belief and Religious Tolerance. Consultant for the 2019 Report on freedom of religion or belief of the German Federal Government. Author of a report for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) on the application of international disaster law in Italy (2015).

Main research interests: EU foreign affairs, EU institutions, freedom of religion or belief.
