Learning outcomes
The student, at the end of the course, is
capable to understand the main results of the blood and urine
exam.
Course contents
Counting of blood cells with automated white blood cell
differential count. Diseases of red blood cells. Bleeding and
thrombotic disorders. Transfusion medicine. Laboratory assays for
evaluating liver, cardiovascular, respiratory and kidney
functionality. Urine exam. Tumor markers.
