Teaching methods

Introductory presentation of the Christian Alexandrian tradition and of Origen's school, to be followed by the reading, translation and commentary of the Thanksgiving address. The text will be available in electronic format.

Assessment methods

Oral examination: reading and commentary of the Thanksgiving address (translation from the original Greek for the students of classics); optional readings from the secondary literature; reading of a general handbook on early Christian literature.
